PERSONAL INJURY CASES
The Nadel Law Firm has represented clients who were injured as a result of someone else's negligence. Injuries are usually caused by one of the following actions:
- Automobile Accidents
- Construction Site Accidents
- Pedestrian Knockdowns
- Slips and Falls
- Assaults
If you are seriously injured as a result of someone else's negligence, you may have a case. Mr. Nadel will meet with you personally, in his office, at your home or in the hospital to review the facts of the accident. The firm will perform an investigation to determine whether another party is at fault for your injuries. Investigators will speak to potential witnesses, obtain documents, take photographs and do research. Mr. Nadel and his associates will review the case and determine whether there is a provable cause of action to recover a monetary award. If you have such a case, the firm will accept it on a contingent fee basis, meaning you pay no fee unless there is a monetary recovery. By performing the work to prepare each case for court, Mr. Nadel has obtained substantial judgments and settlements for numerous clients on cases other firms have turned down.
In an automobile accident or pedestrian knockdown case, you must have what the law defines as a "serious" physical injury to sue another party. Once you have that injury, you may sue even if the accident was partially your fault. Mr. Nadel has recovered awards for individuals who rear-ended the car in front of them. He has also obtained money for pedestrians crossing against traffic lights. Mr. Nadel has successfully pursued cases where individuals have been assaulted by intoxicated people at parties and at bars and won money from bars who served intoxicated patrons.
Mr. Nadel is willing and able to try negligence cases and put the insurance company attorneys to the task. As such, he has recovered jury awards and settlements that other attorneys would not have obtained.
Sample Cases
Mr. Nadel represented an individual who crossed a busy street in the Bronx against the traffic light and walk signal. He was struck by a truck and suffered serious leg injuries. Even though the accident was partially the fault of the pedestrian, Mr. Nadel convinced the truck’s insurer to pay more than $500,000.00 to his client.
In a construction accident case where his client fell from a ladder and suffered a back injury, Lloyd was able to convince the defendant’s insurance company that the plaintiff’s employer was liable because it had provided his client with a defective ladder. That insurance company then settled the case for more than one-half million dollars.
Finally, in a case where his client was at a house party and assaulted by another person who was intoxicated, Mr. Nadel went to trial and convinced a jury that the homeowner was liable for his client’s injuries. In that verdict, the jury gave a substantial monetary award to his client.
